ABOUT
My name is Yemil Aragon, otherwise known as TrojanNemo or simply, Nemo.
I've been using the Nemo nickname online and offline before
Finding Nemo came out in theaters. If you read all that crazy text I put on the home page, you get the idea why I chose that nickname. I'm a huge Jules Verne fan and Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas is an amazing novel that inspired me so much as a young child. Also, the word "nemo" in latin means nobody, and I thought I was being cool by calling myself "nobody." Like Captain Nemo in the Verne novel. Captain Nobody. To take this nerdgasm the whole way, "Nobody" is what Odysseus said his name was to Polyphemus when he tricked him in The Odyssey, another favorite book of mine.
But I'm not a child anymore. Nowadays I am an attorney by day, hobby programmer by night, and
amateur guy with a camera on the weekends. I'm also a father to two beautiful children, Ansel and Amelia, and husband to my loving and ever so supportive wife, Mary.
We call South Florida home, so that means we live where most of you want to vacation. But it also means we have alligators in every waterway, iguanas falling off trees when it gets a little bit cold, and mosquitoes that want to kill you where you stand. Plus Florida Man.
Now let's talk about what probably brought you here...my programs.
I am self-taught (as if that wasn't obvious) and only received introductory formal training to Visual BASIC 6 (20+ years ago) and JAVA (20 years ago). Everything I've done and is linked here has been accomplished with Visual Studio and C# ... and Google, StackOverflow, CodeExchange, etc. Most of my code is beaten into submission with a very large hammer (lots of patience) and trial and error. The end result is that my code is not sophisticated but it mostly works as intended. If you are brave enough to go through the code I've shared on Github you will find yourself lost more often than not. I am sorry I am not a better programmer. That being said, I am proud of what I have accomplished with the tools linked on this site. They represent over 10 years worth of dedication, nearly 100,000 lines of code in all, and a lot of swearing.
